Privacy, in plain language.
This notice covers the OwnBrand Fitness marketing website and its enquiry form. It does not replace the separate privacy policy supplied with any fitness app.
What the form collects
Your name, email address, social profile or website, and the information you choose to write about your proposed app.
If your link includes recognised ad labels, I also save the platform, campaign and ad labels with your enquiry and include them in its email notification. This helps me understand which ads bring enquiries. It does not use tracking cookies or follow you across visits, and it still works if you opt out of Meta tracking. These labels follow the same retention and deletion rules as the enquiry.
Why it is used
I use these details only to assess the enquiry, reply to you, arrange an intro call if appropriate, and keep a reasonable record of the resulting business conversation. The website does not add you to an automated marketing sequence.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the enquiry function and stores submitted enquiries in its D1 database.
- Resend delivers the enquiry notification to the OwnBrand Fitness business inbox when email delivery is configured.
- Your email provider and the OwnBrand Fitness email provider process any resulting correspondence.
I do not sell enquiry information.
Spam prevention
To limit repeated submissions, the form converts the connecting IP address, a private salt and the current 15-minute window into a one-way hash. The form does not store the raw IP address in D1. The hash is used only for abuse prevention, is set to expire after 24 hours, and is removed during later form cleanup.
Retention, correction and deletion
I keep website enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage any resulting business relationship, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. The form removes enquiry records older than 12 months when it processes a later valid enquiry, and I review records when the site is paused or retired. You may ask me to correct or delete your enquiry information sooner unless it must be retained by law.
Advertising cookies and Meta tracking
The homepage uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits (PageView) and successfully saved enquiries (Lead) from my advertising. It loads unless you opt out below or your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC). This privacy page does not load the Pixel.
Meta receives technical information such as your IP address, browser details, page URL and cookie identifiers. It may set cookies and match visits or events to a Facebook or Instagram account. No enquiry form contents—your name, email, social profile or message—are sent to Meta. Automatic advanced matching and automatic event detection are not used.
Meta may process this information internationally, including in the United States, and use it for measurement and advertising under its own policies. Read Meta’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for its uses, retention and controls.
Your tracking choice
Use Privacy choices in the footer to turn Meta tracking off. Clicking it again clears that website opt-out and allows tracking on the homepage again. The page reloads after each change, and the status beside the link shows the current choice. GPC always keeps tracking off, even if you clear the website opt-out.
The opt-out is stored in this browser without an expiry. It lasts until you clear it or your browser’s site data; set it separately on other browsers or devices. If browser storage is unavailable, tracking stays off. Opting out does not affect the enquiry form. It stops subsequent tracking and removes Meta cookies accessible to this site, but cannot recall information already sent or remove cookies on Meta’s own domains.
